Clearly Westcliff is eroding some on various parts of the cliff face as you can see above, not looking too good from where I am standing!
I do feel slightly wary now walking along the pathway, compared to the past anyway, I didn’t give it much of a thought one time. Further down the pathway there has been a diversion where it gets pretty close the edge near “blacknoor forte” and it was needed.
I wouldn’t let my sons walk that way and we used to ride our bikes along it!

It is quite scary, especially when one thinks of the way the cliffs fell at West Bay last year. It would be a catastrophe to say the least if something like this happened during daylight hours on Portland when the crowds were out and about. There are so many risks that are taken when we are younger in that we take it for granted EVERYTHING is safe and secure. All children should be warned of the dangers of these vulnerable areas, they do not see the dangers adults do. Glad you won't allow your lads to do this Rob and my grandchildren will all be warned also.
