Old hill, among the trees, an old footpath that has continuously been used… I remember walking up as a very small child with my mum and brother in his old pram (old bouncy ones) and a big adder crossed the path, which give mum a bit of a shock.
This is probably the only real wood we have left here on Portland, in the summer it looks so lush and green…and very dark!

I remember pushing my little sis up that hill in her pushchair when I was younger, when I came back for a visit with my children I couldn't believe how steep it seemed.
Is that…age? ;o) (joke)
What's mad is we all used it so much, steep it is but it's a fast way to get the the top of the Island.
Would love to see really old pictures of the hill and see how much or little it has changed.
A good work out that's for sure!
